FSC Certification

Jade (Jade Press Ltd) prides itself on using paper from sustainable sources, so we have  decided to go that one step further and gain Forestry Stewardship Council Chain of Custody certification. This runs along with our commitment to accreditation to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Once Jade has accreditation to the scheme, customers are able to enhance their product by including the internationally recognised FSC logo, as long as the paper used for printing is from a FSC credited source.

The Forestry Stewardship Council is an international organisation promoting responsible forest management. FSC encourages chain of custody producers to manage their production processes to allow consumers to buy products that are sourced directly from a responsible managed forest. Chain of custody is the process by which the source of a forest product is verified. In order for products originating from certified sources to be eligible to carry the FSC Trademark, the certified material has to be traced from the forest through all the steps of the production process until it reaches the end user. Only when this process has been independently verified is the product eligible to carry the FSC logo.
