Over the past 2 years, Jade has been carrying out “Introduction to Print” seminars. The aim of these seminars is to assist designers, print buyers and others involved in the procurement of printed matter by providing a basic understanding of the various printing processes and to explain in laymen’s terms how printing is done and the different types of printing available.
This basic understanding is invaluable in communications between the designer/buyer and the printer to ensure common ground and avoid misunderstandings.
Due to time constraints and such a huge subject we can only give an overview of the main subject areas of understanding of how print is produced, factors affecting quality and an awareness of colour perception.
